
With effect from 1st November 2024, Mathieu Sidokpohou has been appointed by the company’s supervisory board to succeed Arthur Hoeld as the executive board member in charge of Adidas’ global sales.
In 2020, Sidokpohou, a French national, became general manager of Adidas France. Before assuming the role of managing director for Europe in 2023, he was appointed general manager of the cluster South Europe in July 2021.
“At this stage of our recovery, Mathieu possesses the knowledge and mindset we need to keep up the momentum and expand our company with our partners,” Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden stated. “Mathieu and his team have led the recent success in our home market of Europe, which grew by more than 20 percent.”
In 1998, Arthur Hoeld started working for adidas. He performed a number of senior roles in global brands and market EMEA before being appointed as an executive board member for global sales. These roles included managing director EMEA at Adidas, general manager for Originals, and SVP brand strategy & business development.
