During the first nine months of 2024, the French e-commerce firm Showroomprivé had a gross merchandise value (GMV) of US $ 764.27 million, a 0.7 per cent decrease in GMV, and a sharp 5.1 per cent reduction in sales.
Sales for the same quarter were down 7.9 per cent at US $ 139.92 million, while the third quarter’s GMV was down 2.3 per cent at US $ 221.78 million.
The corporation disclosed that the summertime low supply point was the cause of the reduction. “More activity has been occurring since the beginning of September, demonstrating the full ability of our platforms to value goods from well-known companies,” the CEO of Showroomprivé said in response to the poor sales issue. “We intend to expand upon these initial positive indications in order to expedite the implementation of our ACE strategy.”
Furthermore, it has been reported that during the last nine months of 2024, the company’s overseas sales increased by 11 per cent. Additionally, the e-commerce company disclosed a GMV of US $ 38.05 million, which represents a 57 per cent rise over the same time period in 2023. The SRP reported a decline in sales as a result of poor traffic and an unfavourable climate for advertising investment, despite a 10 per cent increase in its travel and leisure areas.
